Tuzkon Lake

Tuzkon Lake (also called Tuzkan) is located in the Forish district of Jizzakh Region, Uzbekistan, and is part of the Aydar-Arnasay lake system. It is about 35 km long and up to 22–25 km wide. The water is highly mineralized, with a salt content of around 4.0 g/l in the north and about 4.9 g/l in the south. Although originally natural, the lake expanded in size after overflow from the Chardara reservoir raised its water level.
